The Philodendron is an aroid native to subtropical regions of South America. It comes in a variety of species from the most common to the most coveted and rare of houseplants. Philodendron can be quite easy to own as it tolerates low light conditions and can handle a great deal of watering neglect. Large beautiful foliage add a tropical look to your decor. With a few well placed philodendron in your home you can enjoy the benefits of cleaner air as this plant removes toxins from your air.

Light: Low to bright indirect light. Dappled or filtered sun. Some direct sun.

Watering: Water weekly or when the soil is dry halfway down the pot.

Humidity: Moderate to above average humid climate. Enjoys occasional misting.

Temperature: Grows best in temps between 65° to 85° F. Cannot go below 50° F.

Soil: Well draining aerated soil. Potting mix with added Perlite.
Fertilize monthly during the spring and summer with a balanced organic fertilizer.

Pet Friendly: No. Harmful if ingested.
